1) We can expect a tight pitchers duel here in the first game in this 3 games series as this IL contest featuring two hot starting pitchers.

2) The Giants off a high scoring win, but note that San Francisco had scored only 2.7 runs per game in a 7-game stretch before this.

3) The Rangers have also seen the total stay at 8 or under in 13 of their last 16. The Giants go with Logan Webb, who has allowed only 8 earned runs in 33 innings last 5 starts, while the home side goes with Michael Lorenzen, who has been fantastic with 3 earned runs total in last 4 starts!

4) With these two starters going deep like I suspect, the under is the correct call for sure as far as the total is concerned. Good old fashioned pitchers duel for you baseball purists out there.
