I don't see the Rangers being competitive at all with the Angels. LA is 21 games above .500 while the Rangers are already playing the string out at 47-74 - tied for the worst record in baseball - while going 4-14 in their last 18 home games.

The Angels have won seven in a row against Texas, winning those games by an average of 3.7 runs. The Rangers' last four overall losses have been by an average of six runs per game.

The pitching matchup is just as lopsided in favor of the Angels.

Garrett Richards is pitching as well as anyone giving up one earned run during his last two starts. Richards has a 4-1 record in his last six road games with a 1.40 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 45 innings. He dominated the Rangers when he faced them in Arlington last month winning, 3-0. Richards held Texas to five hits in seven innings.

The Rangers are sticking with rookie Nick Martinez, even though they have lost nine of his past 10 starts. Martinez has a 12.91 ERA at hitter-friendly Arlington during his last four home outings.
