(MLB) Kansas City vs. Arizona,
Money Line: -135.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Win
It's not hard to see why the Royals are 5-17. They rank in the bottom three in runs, batting average and OPS. They also have the third-worst ERA and their bullpen ERA of 6.51 is the second-worst in the league.

Kansas City is 2-11 in its last 13 games. Only the A's have a worse record than the Royals.

So I'll fade the Royals with the home Diamondbacks, who look improved, tied for the NL West lead with a 12-11 mark. The Diamondbacks' record might be even better if they had not given four starts to obviously washed-up Madison Bumgarner, who is 0-3 with a 10.26 ERA.

The Diamondbacks made a tough sentimental choice of dropping Bumgarner. So promising Tommy Henry gets a call-up from the minors to start for Arizona replacing Bumgarner. This will be his first big league appearance since he held the Brewers to one run in 6 1/3 innings last October.

Brad Keller has been the Royals' most efficient starter. He's 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA. His WHIP, though, is a little high at 1.29. Keller faces an Arizona lineup that ranks sixth in batting average and 12th in runs.

I'm going action instead of betting listed pitchers. Henry is a wild-card, but the Diamondbacks should hold a middle-to-late inning edge with the bullpen.
