Chattanooga leads the Southern Conference. Samford is just 4-13 in conference. But the Bulldogs' record is misleading. Of their last 12 losses, 11 have been by single-digits. Just two weeks ago, the Bulldogs took second-place East Tennessee State to overtime on the road.

The Bulldogs played the Mocs tough in the first meeting losing, 63-56, at home on Jan. 30. That game could have been a lot closer, too, but the Bulldogs missed 11 of 20 free throws and failed to connect on 11 of their 14 3-point shots. None of the last 10 games between the two teams since 2011 has been decided by more than 10 points.

The Mocs average only two more points than Samford, which is averaging its most points in 16 years.
