Morehead State is coming into this game with a 1-2 record this season and there has been many changes to this program this season. They are in the 1st season of a new head coach and they are not returning many players from last season either. They are off to an awful start this season as they are 1-2, but their only win came at home against a team that does not play in Division I. Their 2 losses were both on the road, losing by 48 points to Louisville and losing by 27 points to Cincinnati in their last game. Both of those blowout losses were very tough for this team to endure, but those were also much bigger schools who play in much stronger conferences so this team is going to be hungry to bounce back against a weaker team here. They are going up against a Chattanooga team that is 0-3 this season and they are returning 2 of their starters from last season, but they have not been playing well with the new team so far. Honor Huff and Trey Bonham have returned from last season, but production is down for both of these players this season as some of the other starters are trying to carve out their own roles in this system. It has not been working out though and they have struggled with their 0-3 start to the season. They opened with a 26 points loss to USC on the road, followed that up with a 12 point loss on the road against Saint Mary's, and now they are coming off of a road loss against Austin Peay by 6 points in their last game. This is their 1st home game of the season now and they are going to be hungry to bounce back and get their 1st win of the season, but Morehead State is still looking for their 1st true win of the season after getting blown out in both games against Division I opponents and this is a game they will be competitive in even if they lose.
