Rashee Rice caught five passes for 101 yards and Reggie Roberson Jr. had 6 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.

The North Texas Mean Green won their first game of the season 57-31 over Houston Baptist. Quarterback Jason Bean threw for 217 yards, to go with 3 touchdowns and an interception. Austin Aune threw for 111 yards and a touchdown. The rushing attack was led by Oscar Adaway III with 118 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. DeAndre Torrey added 85 yards on the ground. Greg White had a team-high 76 receiving yards with a touchdown. Jaelon Darden 71 yards with 3 touchdowns.
