It's the debut of the Pirates Paul Skenes, the #1 pitching prospect. Skenes throws a casual 100+ heater and has nasty stuff as he only gave up 1 HR in the past years in the minors and struck out 50% of the batters he faced. His fastball should be one of the very best in the game. His slider has great late movement and gets many swings and misses. Skenes has struck out an average of 15 minor league hitters per 9 innings pitched. I am confident he will do well vs batters who have never saw his stuff.

Justin Steele will counter for the Cubs and he has a 5.40 ERA in his career facing the Pirates.

Chicago's bullpen has been terrible this season with over a 5 ERA. Pittsburgh's bullpen is in better shape heading into this one.
