Los Angeles was in action at home Thursday night as they took on the Wizards in the second game of a back-to-back situation and survived to win for the eighth time in 11 games. The Lakers are playing some of their best ball of the season and also with double-revenge vs the Nuggets.

The team was 2.5 games behind the Pelicans for the final guaranteed playoff spot and 5.5 games ahead of the Jazz to remain in the play-in tournament field.
