UAB has started 9 different players this season and after trial and error, they have found a formula of late leading to a home upset of Drake, a cover at Florida Atlantic and a 11.5 pt cover in their last game vs Tulane.
EC has played the #285 schedule with only one win versus a top 170 which was at home. In fact the Pirates have played only 2 true road games in their first 18 games this season which is crazy. The Pirates have done a great job defending the three (#65 in country) but they are just #271 in two-point defense and are now facing a UAB Blazers squad that shoot as few three pointers and dominate on fast breaks and in the paint.
