Last season, Ole Miss had no problems getting past their mid-major opponents. They defeated Troy and Tulsa in the early portion of the year. The Rebels only beat AAC opponent Tulsa by eight points a year ago. Tulane beat Tulsa by 14 points last season, too.
Ole Miss opened the new season with an extremely easy win against FCS Mercer in week one. The Rebels won 73-7 in a game that starting quarterback Jaxson Dart looked strong. Dart, the former USC quarterback, is in his second year under Lane Kiffin. Dart completed 18-for-23 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns in the win. The duel-threat signal caller also added 36 yards on the ground.
I expect more of the same here on Saturday as the Ole Miss O-Line is very good.
