Pivetta has abysmal numbers against the Yankees, producing a disastrous 7.71 ERA and a 1-3 record in his career against the rivals.

Furthermore, Yankees’ starter Clarke Schmidt has contained the Red Sox bats this season, limiting them to only three runs in two outings spanning 10 innings. He is also coming off his worst outing of the season as the Braves lit his ass up.
