5*
(MLB) Houston vs. NY Yankees,
Money Line: -137.00 Houston (Away)
Result: Loss
New York's offense sits 29th in batting average and at .220 its the worst team batting average in 30 years.
Justin Verlander has allowed only two runs over 19 1/3 innings through his last three starts so don't expect the Yanks to do much today.

This will be Verlander's first start for the Astros since his return from the Mets and he'll face an opponent he has dominated in recent years. Since the start of the 2022 season, Verlander has an ERA of 0.95 in three starts against the Yankees.
With Cortes making his first start in more than two months, coupled with Anthony Rizzo hitting the shelf with post-concussion syndrome and Domingo German going on the restricted list due to personal issues, the Yankees are dealing with some issues.
Astros also have the better bats in their lineup and I look for Verlander and Houston to get the win here on Saturday afternoon.
