Florida Gulf Coast won 14-10-10 games the past 4 years before winning 22 games last year yet fired their coach prior to the postseason.
The new coach Pat Chambers (was Penn St HC for 9Y) got 6 of the top 9 players to return. They added Purdue trans PG Isiah Thompson and a player he recruited at PSU but went to Xavier. So far they are 6-2 with the tough losses at Tennessee and at San Diego a pair of very good teams and they have won & covered 4 straight and have played all 7 D1 games away from home.
FIU is the fastest-paced team in the country and they are running that offense with one returning starter.

The starting guards are both freshmen and the team is #267 in turnovers and one of the poorest rebounding teams in the nation.
