I’ll go with the underdog in this matchup. Penn State plays solid defense and they definitely play hard. They have close losses to good teams like Purdue, Ohio State, Miami and LSU, as well as wins over Indiana and Iowa. Wisconsin isn’t great in this role of medium-range favorite and I really don’t see what their motivation is going to be in this game. Wisconsin is 10-2 in its last 12 games and of those 10 wins, none by more than 10 points. The Badgers don’t really blow people out. I expect a tight game throughout and a 4-7-point win for the home team, but Penn State should keep it competitive and keep it within the closing number.
