I'm taking the points with Iowa State here. Yes this team has five losses but they are much better than most people realize, as three of those losses came by two points or fewer. They came within a point of beating Oklahoma on the road, and consistently showed they could hang tough against top teams.
ALso, motivation is one of the most important things to handicap when looking at bowl games, and I think it's fair to wonder whether Notre Dame will be able to get up for this game after they made it all the way to the college football playoff last year. I just don't see them being super fired up for this one and I'll back IOWA ST plus the pts as we go against the public happy ND team here..
