The Hurricanes continue to split the duties between James Reimer and Petr Mrazek. Reimer got the start on Saturday which means Mrazek will likely be between the pipes in this one. Both goaltenders own solid numbers. Reimer has a 2.41 GAA and a .924 save percentage, while Mrazek features a 2.52 GAA and a .906 save percentage to go with a 13-6-2 record. Carolina is currently averaging 3.2 goals, good for 12th in the NHL. They are holding opponents to 2.7 goals, placing them ninth overall.

I am siding with the Hurricanes in this one. The Hurricanes have no problem playing on the road where they feature a 3-1-1 record in their last five games. The just blanked the Flames by a 4-0 score and have also defeated the Oilers on this road trip. Carolina is playing outstanding defense and have allowed two or fewer goals in six out of their last seven games overall.

On the flip-side EDM has squandered eight goals in their last two games and they also have a poor penalty kill that ranks 27th in the NHL, while Carolina has a potent power play.
