Chicago was sluggish in its first game in six days after opening the season with a 4-3 loss to Philadelphia on Oct. 4th in the NHL Czech Republic. Forward Dominik Kubalik netted his first career goal to open the scoring and Shaw's two tallies gave the Blackhawks a 3-2 advantage midway through the second, but Chicago was outshot 23-15 over the final 40 minutes. Goaltender Corey Crawford stopped 29-of-34 shots, but the Blackhawks gave up two power-play goals on three attempts and in two games their penalty kill is 3-for-6.
Chicago is 0-2 but I look for them to come out focused and strong to get a win over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night!
