5* Friday Best
(NCAAF) Duke vs. Virginia Tech,
Point Spread: 3.00 | -115.00 Duke (Away)
Result: Win
Both teams are 2-1 heading into this Friday night game.
The Hokies have beaten the Blue Devils in each of the last three meetings, including a 31-14 wipeout last year. Duke turned the ball over twice and got stopped on downs twice, despite moving the football. VT is down this season and their coach is on the hot seat. The players don't really like their coach and there is a lot of bickering and that's not good for the locker-room.

The Blue Devils have shown the ability to win on the road – a blowout at Middle Tennessee State. Senior QB Quentin Harris has been getting nothing but complements from David Cutcliffe in recent weeks. Defensively, the Blue Devils are a good notch or two ahead of where they were last year, particularly in the secondary.

The Hokies defense allowed a whopping 31 points per game on 440 yards per game last year, and haven't shown much improvement this season. I look for Duke to be able to move the ball and get the win here on Friday.
