Carolina defense led by Luke Kuechly can shut down poor scoring teams, like Seattle. The Seahawks struggle against good defensive teams and the Panthers offense is very shotgun-heavy, and is always tough to defend with a dual threat QB like Newton in the backfield.



Seattle will have trouble running the ball against a heading off vs a team that gives up only 3.8 a carry on the ground, it's going to get chippy in the trenches. They also boast a good D vs the run. Fully expect a low scoring, punch in the mouth game. With the extra week to prepare, the Panthers will be ready.
