Hawks over Knicks- Both of these clubs missed the mark in their respective openers as New York went 1-for-9 down the stretch and 0-for-3 from the foul line in their loss to Boston. Atlanta had the same shooting woes making just 17.2 percent from 3-point range (their lowest 3-point shooting % since facing the Knicks last December. But unlike New York the Hawks shot poorly for three quarters and then put it together in the final 12 minutes but fell short against the Hornets. The mindset for this encounter has the Knicks brooding while the Hawks are soaring off their fourth quarter effort in their loss to the Hornets.
