Padres over Astros- Among the MLB clubs that have not achieved what was expected of them and under-performed this season San Diego is probably your leading choice although they are 8-games over .500. But, there was so much more expected of them with the dynamic stars they have in their line-up and their pitching additions. Now, the Padres still have a shot a Wild Card spot but need wins here against the Astros and will start Chris Paddack (7-6, 4.61 ERA) who has allowed just four runs in his last four starts with an ERA of 2.50. Houston will start Luis Garcia (10-6, 3.23) and he has been a steady starter for the Astros but his mates are just 4-11 in their last 15 inter-league road games and 3-8 against right-handers on the road.
