Mets over Giants- New York returns home after win over the Dodgers Sunday but had a nightmare west coast road trip and are 6-15 in August. The Giants who lead the majors with 80 wins are 15-5 in their last 20 games and will start rookie left-hander Sammy Long (1-1, 5.72 ERA) who in his last five appearances has an ERA of 7.43 allowing opponents to hit .276. The Mets will also start a rookie in Tylor Megill (1-2, 3.21) who has a 27-5 strikeout to walk ratio. New York is 15-games under .500 on the road but a healthy 36-23 at home and 13-3 following a day off. Take the METS!
