New York Mets at Philadelphia 4:15 ET
Phillies over Mets- I never feel comfortable when taking a 'popular' or 'public' side in games and this one stands out. Philadelphia has won six straight and after trailing New York for the entire season have caught up to the MUTS and have moved into the top spot in the NL East as the Metropolitan's have dropped 5-of-6 seven of their last nine games. Home field has been important to both clubs as the Phillies are 32-21 at home while New York are 23-33 on the road and have lost 15 of their last 22 meetings in Philadelphia. The mets are 3-9 in their last 12 starts against a left-handed starter while the 'Whiz Kids' are 8-2 against right-handed starters. Tylor Megill (1-1, 2.68 ERA) gets the nod for the Mets and he has shown well but it's a team game and New York is in a funk. The Phillies will start Ranger Suarez (5-3, 1.04) who has allowed just 21 hits in 43.1 innings although he is 1-2 with a 5.11 ERA in eight appearances against the Mets. Still, it's the 'mojo'...take PHILADELPHIA!
