Villanova vs Purdue 8:40 ET
Boilermakers (-) over Wildcats- My first impression of this match-up was that they had the wrong team favored until I actually paid attention to the seedings. I hadn't realized that Purdue at 24-9 was a No. 3 seed while Villanova at 26-9 was seeded sixth. Now, honestly doesn't that seem a bit off and maybe it's not as the Big Ten is 6-0 in their first six games of the Tournament. Looking at the history here we can see that the Wildcats are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 meetings against the Big Ten and 14-3 ATS in their last 17 NCAA contests. Purdue is just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against the Big East. So, why is Purdue getting all this respect. Villanova has been sputtering of late going just 4-6 ATS in their last 10 otherwise it looks too easy. Take PURDUE!
