Mariners over Padres- The Seattle Mariners are starting to come around as they belted six homers yesterday in their 11-4 rout of the Padres. Nelson Cruz hit his Major league leading 15th homer and has hit homers in five straight inter-league games. James Shields (4-0, 4.25 ERA) has been pitching in luck as he has given up 10 runs in his last two starts and posted victories. Good luck or bad Mariners starter Taijuan Walker (1-3, 8.13) has just been terrible in inter-league play as he is 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA with 10 walks in nine innings. Walker has been better at home allowing only four runs in over 10 innings and with San Diego at0-4 in inter-league play I'll take the home team. Take SEATTLE!
