Pirates over Cardinals- Well, let me start by noting that the St. Louis Cardinals are at it again as they have yet to lose a series this season and have won 10 of their last 12, the 'beat goes on in St. Louis.' The Pirates earned a much need win yesterday which including a first ever 4-5-4 triple play and they are looking win since April 26 and will have Jeff Locke (2-2, 4.84 ERA) on the hill against the Cardinals will send Tyler Lyons (0-0, 6.23) to the 'bump.' Lyons is 0-2 with 4.20 ERA in three career appearances against Pittsburgh while Locke is 2-2 with a 3.76 ERA in five career starts against St. Louis. Look for the Pirates to win this series.
