Wise Guy
(NFL) Kansas City vs. Denver,
Total: 49.00 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
So Denver finally goes under because the opposing coach played keep-away, lost and it still could have gone over. Andy Reid showed at Philadelphia, he is not hesitant to open things up and this is a game where he likely will not have much choice.

Again, Mike McCoy and the Chargers tried to keep the Broncos offense off the field and they lost by a margin that probably was not that close, by eight.

The Chiefs had been seeing a steady diet of opposing backup quarterbacks in recent games. In Tennessee Tits Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston Texan Case Keenum, Cleveland Browns Jason Campbell and Buffalo Bills Jeff Tuel, they had opposed quarterbacks who were put into the lineup only that week either for injury purposes or because the regular starter had been in effective.

True Campbell is much better than Brandon Weeden, but he is a lifetime journeyman. Despite sneaking under the total last week, Denver still has exceeded the total by an average of 13.8 points per game, leading the league.

There is no reason to believe KC can affectively control the pace. Their offense is very good, just low powered, but they will have to pick up the tempo and will be facing a signal caller much better than the full monty of sub-par stiffs.
