Long time clients know that I generally find value in betting against quality teams and betting on bad teams knowing that when one exploits overlays. This may be the first time in 30-plus years of betting, 27th professionally that I have bet the defending NBA Champs in their first two games.
Simply put, this is a meeting of one of the all-time best NBA teams at one of the worst. Who cares Miami is playing back-to-back? This is not January. It is the second game of the year. In fact, what is worse is that the rawer than steak tartare Sixers are making their season debut against a Heat team with a game under their belt.
Philadelphia literally has six or seven NBA quality players. The one good player Michael Carter-Williams makes his debut at point guard against the best team in the world. Laying double-digits on the road is not so much after all.
