(NCAAB) Wofford vs. Stanford,
Point Spread: 10.00 | -106.00 Wofford (Away)
Result: Loss
Wofford is an NCAA Tournament team from last year and has a ton of talent back. Stanford struggled against D2 school Cal Poly Pomona in exhibition play. Wofford was picked to win the Southern Conference for a second straight season. Stanford was picked fifth in the Pac-12.

Of course the Pac 12 is a much better conference but Wofford with so much returning talent will do well on the road. The power line is 8 and Wofford should cover that as well. The Cardinal is very top heavy, reliant on Chasson Randle.

Wofford is led by lock down guard Karl Cochran who can slow Randle down. Cochran was named Southern Conference preseason player of the year. He averaged 15.7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists with 55 steals and 19 blocked shots last season in leading the Terriers to a championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament. All that while playing some of the best defense in Wofford history.

Wofford is the preseason favorite in the Southern Conference also because the Terriers return all five starters and their top seven or eight in the rotation, including the heart and soul of the team, senior forward Lee Skinner (11.1 points, 8.5 rebounds), and second-leading scorer Spencer Collins (12.5 points).

Wofford also returns sophomore point guard Eric Garcia, who had 78 assists to only 29 turnovers in his rookie season while scoring 7.3 points per game. Inside, the Terriers have 6-foot-7 forwards C.J. Neumann and Justin Gordon, who started a combination of 22 games with nearly 10 points and seven boards.

So the smaller college team is actually less dependent on one player and the dog matches up very well against the strength of double-digit chalk.
