These two teams played last season at UNC, with the Tarheels winning 31-13. Obviously Drake Maye is a New England Patriot now, and UNC has been sorting out a QB battle between Max Johnson and Conner Harrell, but despite who is under center we like Minnesota to hang tough. Omarion Hampton, will likely get the bulk of the carries for the Tarheels, he had 1,504 yards and 15 TDs last year, but had a terrible game vs the Gophers when they played last year, he only had 46 yards, and you know Minnesota will want revenge here.
Max Brosmer’s arrival could indeed provide a significant boost to Minnesota's passing game. Given his impressive stats from his time at New Hampshire, where he accumulated 8,713 yards and 70 touchdowns, it's clear he has the potential to elevate the offense. Minnesota’s passing numbers from last season were relatively underwhelming, with only 16 touchdowns and an average of 143.4 yards per game, so a player like Brosmer could make a considerable impact.
We like Minnesota to cover in front of the home fans here, especially with revenge from last season's loss.
