The Coach's 10* NFL Total ANNIHILATOR
(NFL) St. Louis vs. San Francisco,

Result: Win

The Rams and the 49ers will meet in San Francisco on Sunday, and on paper this looks like it has the potential to be a blowout. That has been the case in recent meetings between these two division rivals, but San Francisco has only covered one of their last four versus the Rams when favored by seven or more points. I think the best bet here is a play on the total, as I am expecting a low scoring affair.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The total has gone 2-2 O/U in the last four meetings in San Francisco, but each case when the total went over, the number was set below 40. One of those games was a 23-20 victory for the 49ers in 2010.
2. San Francisco Defense - Considering all the injuries, this defense has been quite impressive. They rank 4th overall against the run, and 8th against the pass. Coming off a bye week they are getting healthier, with the return of LB Patrick Willis.
3. X-Factor - The under is 22-8 in Rams last 30 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Selection: This is a play on the Rams@Niners to go UNDER the total (10*)
