At 3 00pm ET, my Cakewalk selection is on Portugal. Monday featured some upsets but the favorite will reign supreme in Tuesday's second match. All 3 other countries in the group are hopeful of contending for 2nd place. The Portuguese are the very clear favorites to finish first though. It was a fortunate draw for them. Other groups have 2 or more top level teams. This is an opportunity which Portugal will not squander.

Czech Republic will like its chances against Georgia and should have a good fight against Turkey. The Czechs have lost four of their previous five matches against Portugal though, including a 4-0 defeat when the two countries last faced each other, in September 2022. The Czechs have been playing well recently but the Portuguese have advantages all over the pitch. Their experience and quality will have Portugal take the first step to winning this group.
