At 10:07pm ET, my Opening Night Center Ice Report is on Utah. The Hockey Club get a juicy opening night matchup which will allow them to kick off the new era with a victory. The Blackhawks were among the worst teams in the NHL last season. They finished with a 23-59 record. They're going to be among the worst teams again this season. The Coyotes, now the Hockey Club, finished a full 25 points ahead of Chicago. Teams which have moved cities have historically enjoyed some success (Atlanta became Calgary, Minnesota became Dallas, Quebec became Colorado, Hartford became Colorado) and Utah should be able to do the same. The Coyotes were a team on the rise last year and they made some upgrades in the offseason. The players are excited to have an ownership group with money. The Utah fans are excited to have a team. They will start things off with a victory.
