Both probable pitchers have had a tough go lately. Soroka for the Braves and Quantrill for the Guardians have both just recently returned to the majors. Quantrill has only one game under his belt since returning and he was shelled for 6 runs in only 3.1 innings. In his last 3 starts ( 2 before he went on IR his ERA is 15.44- yikes!). In Soroka’s last 3 starts his ERA has been 6.89. Soroka has averaged 4 runs against per game this season while Quantrill has averaged 6.7 runs against per game. Right there you have a total north of 10.

The hard hitting Braves (#1 OPS and #2 avg. in the majors over the last 15 days) have averaged 6.6 runs/9 in their last 7 games. Even the Guardians have averaged 5.1 runs/9 in their last 7. Again you have a total north of 10. Add in the fact both bullpens worked hard Tuesday night in a 10 inning game against each other and you have a recipe for a high scoring affair. Go with the over on this one.
