Rogers' 10* VERY EARLY Tourney ANNIHILATION >> 2-0 Sweep Saturday!
(NCAAB) Indiana State vs. Quinnipiac,
Point Spread: 9.50 | -105.00 Quinnipiac (Home)
Result: Win
The set-up: It's the final round of Advocare Invitational at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fl. Both Indiana State and Quinnipiac have gone winless in tourney action, although while Quinnipiac has yet to win overall at 0-4, Indiana St. checks in at 2-3.

Indiana State: The Sycamores were 15-17 last year and lost leading scorer Brown (15.5 & 4.9) along with the 6-6 Smith (10.0 & 5.2) from last year's team. Brown's backcourt partner Scott returns and is the team's lone double digit scorer in the early going, upping his average from 14.6 PPG last season to 19.4 PPG through five games this year. The team's leading rebounder last year was 6-1 guard Clemons and he's again the team's rebound leader early on, getting 6.6 per game, along with 7.4 PPG. Indiana State lost its second straight game this past Friday afternoon, falling just 65-62 to Stanford. Indiana State shot just 37.9% from the floor but did force Stanford into committing 18 turnovers. Leading the way for the Sycamores was Everett Clemons who had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Scott was held to 13 points on 5 of 13 shooting.

Quinnipiac: The Bobcats fell to 0-4 on the season after being defeated this past Friday 90-79 by Seton Hall. Quinnipiac jumped out to an early lead but the Pirates were able take a 46-39 halftime lead, which they never relinquished. Quinnipiac is coming off a 9-21 season but returns four starters. Freshman guard Kiss currently leads the team in scoring at 12.8 PPG but three returnees are right behind him. Guards Harris (12.3) and Oliver (12.3 & 5.0) plus the 6-9 Daniels (12.0 & 7.5). Defense has been the real issue early on for the Bobcats, who allow 88.0 PPG (343rd) on 51.3 percent shooting (345th).

The pick: While both Indiana State and Quinnipiac have gone winless in this tourney, they have each been competitive in their games against some of the better teams in the country. I'm backing the still winless Bobcats, who will score enough to stay within this over-inflated pointspread. Quinnipiac is a 10* play.
