(NFL) Seattle vs. Tampa Bay,
Point Spread: -6.00 | -106.00 Seattle (Away)
Result: Loss
Seattle: The Seahawks struggled at the beginning of the season, opening with a too-close-for-call 12-10 victory over the Dolphins and following that up with a 9-3 loss at the LA Rams. The Seahawks ended October win a 6-6 tie in Arizona and a 25-20 loss at New Orleans, as QB Russell Wilson battled injuries in October, going three straight games without a TD, passing or rushing, to close out the month. However, Seattle is 3-0 in November to take a commanding three-game lead in the NFC West, as Wilson's returned to health, passing for six TDs (without an interception) plus he's added a rushing and receiving score, as well. "I think the quick bursts that he showed when he had to make the decision was really the confidence he demonstrated he's got," head coach Pete Carroll told reporters in regard to Wilson's health. "I couldn't be more fired up about that. That's when we're playing ball the way we know how to play. It's a big factor for us." The reliable Seattle defense ranks ninth in total yards allowed (335.4 per) but in the most important defensive category, points allowed, Seattle leads the league at 17.3 PPG!

Tampa Bay: The Bucs are just one game behind Falcons for the NFC South lead with six games to play but their remaining schedule does include this game with Seattle plus a road game at Dallas in Week 15. However, the other four games come against teams with losing records, as they play two against the 4-6 Saints, a game at 4-6 San Diego and the season finale at home against the struggling 4-6 Panthers. No one ever doubted QB Jameis Winston's talent but some questioned his character. He's silenced his critics with well above average play and zero off-field distractions. He stretched his streak to 26 straight games to begin his career with at least one rushing or passing TD when he hit rookie tight end Alan Cross with a fourth-quarter TD pass in last week's 19-17 win at Kansas City. "Jameis was out of sight today," head coach Dirk Koetter told reporters after the triumph. "That's as good of quarterback play of however many years I've been in the league now. Jameis - he was awesome all day. Jameis played a great game." Koetter may be stretching some but Winston has completed 60.3% for 252.5 YPG with 20 TDs and 10 INTs. WR Mike Evans is third in the NFL with 916 receiving yards and second with eight TD catches plus RB Doug Martin has returned to the field the last two games, with both ending in Tampa Bay wins.

The pick: I really like the way Winston and the Bucs are coming together but the Seahawks are at their best once the calendar hits November, going 18-3 SU & 16-5 ATS the last three season from November through the end of the season. Nothing new here in 2016, as they have won and covered three in a row taking care of the Bills, Patriots and Eagles. This is a drop down in class for them and check back above for Tampa Bay's woeful ATS record in its home stadium. Seattle is an 8* play.
