The Tampa Bay Lightning won the opener of this Eastern Conference first-round series 3-2 Wednesday. The teams will clash at Amalie Arena again Friday night before the series move to Detroit, and I think the Red Wings will return to Motor City with this series tied up at 1-1.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Last Meeting - The teams entered the third period of Wednesday's game tied at 2-2 after Detroit turned a 1-0 deficit to a 2-1 lead early in the second act. The Red Wings stood up well against the Lightning and the underdog looks like the way to go in what is likely to be another close contest.

2. Injuries - The Lightning managed to grind out a win in the series-opener despite playing without captain Steven Stamkos and top-pair defenseman Anton Stralman. The duo will be a miss tonight as well and their absence should get more notable the longer the series goes.

3. X-Factor - The Lightning are 0-4 in their last four games following a win.
