ROGERS THURSDAY SMACKDOWN! ~ SPECIAL PRICING
(NHL) Edmonton vs. San Jose,
Money Line: -229.00 San Jose (Home)
Result: Loss
The San Jose Sharks had opened a six-game homestand before getting shut out in a 1-0 loss against the Blues Tuesday. They're looking good to get back to their winning ways with what should be an easy victory against the Western Conference worst Edmonton Oilers Thursday night.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. San Jose's Defense - The Sharks have allowed just nine goals during a 4-2-0 stretch and their netminder Martin Jones hasn't given up more than two goals in a month. He's 3-1-1 with 1.56 GAA and .925 SV% against the Oilers.

2. Previous Meetings - The San Jose Sharks have won 23 of the past 31 meetings overall and six of the last seven in the Shark Tank. They've won two of three meetings this season, the lone loss a 4-3 overtime defeat back in December.

3. X-Factor - San Jose has played a lot of hockey lately but they club is are 9-2 in its last 11 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation.

Selection: This is a play on the San Jose Sharks (6*)
