The Texas Tech Red Raiders will take on the Texas Longhorns on Thanksgiving Day, and the bookmakers are expecting this game to be a shootout. I think there's a little too much optimism about how many points these teams will score, and my money is on the under with this inflated total.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Texas Running Game - The Horns are averaging 213 rushing yards per game, ranking near the top in the country. They are likely to have success running against a soft Red Raiders defense, and I expect them to burn up plenty of clock with each possession.

2. Previous History - Texas has won six straight versus the Red Raiders dating back to 2008, and five of those six games failed to reach the total. The number in this year's game is far higher than it was in any of those previous contests.

3. X-Factor - The Red Raiders score plenty of points at home, but not so much on the road. They've failed to reach the total in four of their last five outside of Lubbock.
