The Chicago Cubs are back at Wrigley facing a "must win" situation in Game 3 of this series versus the Mets. The Cubs big bats have been silent in this series so far, but I expect the home cookin' to play a big role here in tonight's game. My money is on the Cubs to get one back versus the visiting Mets.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Kyle Hendricks will be on the mound for the home team, and he's pitched well at Wrigley all year. Hendricks (8-7, 3.95 ERA) allowed three runs on four hits, striking out seven over 4.2 innings in a 6-3 win at St. Louis in Game 2 of the Division Series. The Mets counter with Jacob deGrom, who was struggled at Wrigley in his career. He was 0-2 with a 6.10 ERA in two starts versus the Cubs this season, and he allowed four runs on five hits, including a pair of home runs in a loss at Wrigley.
2. Home Cookin' - The Cubs are batting a major league best .328 at home in these playoffs, and they've hit a whopping nine home runs in two games at Wrigley.
3. X-Factor - Anthony Rizzo is 3-for-9 with a home run lifetime versus deGrom, and he's homered in both home games during the Division Series.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago Cubs (10*)
