Texas Rangers -1.5 (1* Free Pick)
(MLB) Detroit vs. Texas,
Point Spread: -1.50 | 105.00 Texas (Home)
Result: Loss
The Texas Rangers have lost three straight, and they now sit just 1.5 games up on Houston in the AL West. They host the Tigers in Game 2 of this three game set in Arlington tonight, and I like Texas with it's ace on the mound.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Rangers hand the ball to Cole Hamels, who is undefeated in his last eight starts. Hamels (11-8, 3.56 ERA) gave up just one run on four hits over six innings in a win at Oakland in his most recent outing. He's 2-0 with a 3.19 ERA in five starts in Texas. The Tigers counter with rookie left-hander Daniel Norris, who is win-less in his last five starts.

2. Rangers vs. Southpaws - The Rangers lead the major leagues in runs scored versus left-handed pitching.

3. X-Factor - The Rangers are 23-8 in their last 31 home games.
