The Dodgers are now only one game ahead of San Francisco in the NL West, and they have lost six of their last eight overall. While the Dodgers have played poorly, and don't have a great road record, it's difficult not to like them with Zack Greinke on the mound at Wrigley tonight. Greinke hasn't won a game since May 5th, but you certainly can't blame him, as he's surrendered more than one run just twice in his last nine starts.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Greinke (5-2, 1.81 ERA) shutout Texas through seven innings in a 1-0 home win, but didn't get credited with the decision in his last start. He's 3-1 with a 1.71 ERA on the road this season, and he's 33-9 with a 2.76 ERA in 63 starts under the lights over the last three seasons. The Cubs counter with Jason Hammel, who hasn't been sharp lately. The right-hander has given up seven runs on 10 hits and five walks in his last two starts, both Chicago losses.
2. Batter vs. Pitcher - The Dodgers lineup is hitting .306 versus Hammel in previous meetings, and Andre Ethier is 9-for-25 with a pair of home runs and nine RBIs off the right-hander.
3. X-Factor - The Dodgers have won seven of their last nine at Wrigley.
