The Giants had to travel cross country after losing last night in New York, and this looks like a tough spot at home tonight against Arizona. The D'Backs won three of four in their last series at San Francisco. and I like Arizona as the underdog tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Madison Bumgarner will be on the hill for the Giants, and he's coming off a poor performance in his last start. Bumgarner (7-2, 3.38 ERA) gave up five runs on six hits over eight innings, but still picked up a win at Philly., The D'Backs counter with Chase Anderson, who has been pretty solid. The right-hander allowed just one run on eight hits over 5.2 innings in a 2-1 win at home over the Mets in his last start.
2. Previous History - Bumgarner has struggled with Arizona over the years, going 3-4 with a 2.84 ERA in a dozen starts since 2012.
3. X-Factor - These teams have split the last 10 meetings with five wins a piece, and four of those games were decided by one run.
Selection: This is a play on the Arizona Diamondbacks +1.5 (8*)
