(MLB) Chi White Sox vs. Baltimore,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -120.00 Baltimore (Home)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 1.50 | -120.00 Baltimore (Home)
Result: Win
The Chicago White Sox ended a four game-skid but we still find them sitting bottom of the AL Central as they've won just two of their last nine games. I think they're coming in as too big of a favorite against the Baltimore Orioles who just took two of three against the Astros here at Camden Yards, and I would not be surprised to see the home-team to even take this one down outright.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The White Sox will hand the ball to their ace Chris Sale, but he's pitched like nothing of the sort this season. He conceded four runs (three earned) on five hits with two home-runs in eight innings against the Twins his last start. He's 2-1 over three starts on the year, but it's behind a swollen 6.35 ERA and he's 0-2 with a 5.06 ERA in nine career games against Baltimore who will counter with Tyler Wilson (1-0, 4.50). The 25 year old will make his first start in the majors here after making two appearances out of the bullpen. He's 2-4 with a 3.29 ERA in eight starts for the Triple-A Norfolk Tides and will have a massive support from the home crowd today.
2. Unreliable Favorites - The White Sox have won just one of their last four as a road favorite and they're a miserable 2-11 in Sale's last 13 starts as a road favorite of -110 to -150. The Orioles meanwhile have won five of their last six as a home dog.
3. X-Factor - Delmon Young is 3-for-7 in his last two games and 5-for-15 against Sale in previous meetings.
Selection: This is a play on the Baltimore Orioles +1.5 (8*)
