"The Coach's" NHL DOMINATION
(NHL) Vancouver vs. Calgary,
Money Line: 117.00 Vancouver (Away)
Result: Loss
The Vancouver Canucks and the Calgary Flames are tied at 1-1 in this Western Conference quarter-finals series as they're preparing to continue the series with two games at the Saddledome in Calgary. The Nucks failed to make the most of their home-ice advantage allowing the Flames to rally back from a 1-0 deficit to win Game 1, but I think they're looking good to return the favor and win at Calgary tonight, and at a great price at that.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home-Ice Advantage, Really? - It will no doubt be a pumped up home-crowd at the Saddledome tonight looking to carry their beloved Flames to a victory. It could turn into a disadvantage though, keep in mind that Calgary has had a propensity of going a goal or two down early in the games this season, and how will the crowd react to that? The home-support can suddenly turn into a burden too hard for this young Flames team to carry, and don't forget that the Nucks have won four of the last five meetings in Calgary.

2. Special Teams - Vancouver has had seven chances on the power play so far in the series compared to the Flames three. It seems to me that the Nucks have played very smart so far in this series, and even if Calgary were to get more chances with the man advantage it'll be up against a Nucks penalty kill that ranked second in the league during the regular season.

3. X-Factor - The Nucks Daniel Sedin snapped a 12-game playoff drought as he scored the opener in Friday's win. With that monkey off his back we can expect more production from the 34 year old Swede who has four goals and eight points over six appearances so far this April.

Selection: This is a play on the Vancouver Canucks
