"The Coach's" NHL Playoff Thursday SURE SHOT (Part 1)
(NHL) Detroit vs. Tampa Bay,
Money Line: -160.00 Tampa Bay (Home)
Result: Loss
The two Atlantic Division foes the Detroit Red Wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning will clash in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Tampa Bay has dominated this series over recent seasons and should prove to be worth the money here despite coming in at a rather hefty price.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Ben Bishop vs. Petr Mrazek - The Tampa Bay netminder was an outstanding 27-6-1 on home ice on the season and dominated the Red Wings over four meetings, winning three while losing one, all behind a 1.97 GAA. The Red Wings coaching staff have decided to go with 24 year old Petr Mrazek to start the playoffs over Jimmy Howard. He posted a 3.00 GAA over two starts against the Lightning over the regular season, and three goals allowed will most likely not be good enough to avoid a loss here.

2. Road Woes - The Red Wings have lost five of their last six when visiting a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings at Amalie Arena.

3. X-Factor - Steven Stamkos is coming in hot, tallying three goals and one assists over four games in April and has amassed four goals over the first four meetings with the Red Wings this season.

Selection: This is a play on the Tampa Bay Lightning.(8*)
