"The Coach's" Very Early MLB SURE SHOT - Side!
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -159.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -159.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Win
The Twins have been roughed up badly in the first two games of this series in Detroit, and they could be in for another rough ride this afternoon. Ricky Nolasco was rocked for six runs on six hits and four walks over just three innings yesterday, and they'll hope that today's starter can go a little deeper into the game.
Here are my keys to the game:
1: Pitching - The Twins will hand the ball to 27 year old Kyle Gibson, who has some really ugly numbers versus Detroit. He was 2-3 with a 6.00 ERA in five starts versus the Tigers last year. He gave up 18 runs on 31 hits and 13 walks over 27 innings in those games. The Tigers will counter with Shane Greene, who had a promising rookie season.
2. Detroit's Offense - The Tigers have had little trouble scoring in this series so far, and they tallied 11 runs on 15 hits in yesterday's game.
3. X-Factor - Shortstop Jose Iglesias is on fire, going 6-for-8 with a double and a pair of stolen bases in the first two games of the season.
Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Tigers (8*)
