(NHL) Montreal vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -125.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Loss
The Montreal Canadiens are coming off a spirited battle with rivals Toronto on Saturday night, winning by a score of 2-1 in a shootout. It was the Habs third straight post-regulation game, and all three of those came against teams that currently aren't in line to make the playoffs. They face a much tougher test on the road tonight, as they take on the red hot Wings at Joe Louis Arena.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' - The Wings have won six of their last seven home games, and they boast an impressive 17-4-7 record this season in Detroit. Coming off a shootout loss at home to the Jets, we should expect the Wings to bounce back on home ice tonight.

2. Special Teams - Detroit owns the top power play in the NHL, converting on 26.3% of their opportunities. The Habs rank near the bottom of the league in that category, with a success rate of just 16.8% on the power play.

3. X-Factor - Not many players have a deke named after them, and Pavel Datsyuk is one of just two that I know of (Datsyukian and Savardian). He is one of the most feared in the league on the breakaway, and he's hot lately, scoring six points in his last five games.

Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Red Wings (*)
