Result: Win
Point Spread: -24.50 | -107.00 Gonzaga (Home)
Result: Win
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are in a league of their own in the WCC, and they will host one of the worst teams in the conference tonight. Loyola Marymount had won back-to-back games versus San Diego and Pacific before getting blown out at home, losing 87-68 to BYU on Saturday. Playing on the road at Gonzaga is only going to be a bigger challenge, and this game isn't likely to be competitive at all.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The #3 ranked Bulldogs are 13-0 at home, and they've won their last five at home by an average margin of 22 points. They are asked to cover quite a significant number here tonight, but against lesser competition that isn't likely to be a tough task.
2. Previous History - The Bulldogs have won 10 straight versus the Lions since 2011, and they have covered the spread in three of their last four home meetings versus Loyola Marymount. Going back even further, Gonzaga is 7-3 ATS in it's last 10 home games in this series.
3. X-Factor - Gonzaga leads the country with a field goal percentage of 53.2%. It shot better than 52% in a 72-55 road win over the Lions last month, holding the hosts to 17-of-58 from the field (29.3%).
Selection: This is a play on the Gonzaga Bulldogs (8*)
