Point Spread: -6.00 | -110.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Win
Point Spread: -6.00 | -110.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Win
The Detroit Pistons and the Denver Nuggets will meet for the second time this season. The Nuggets were favored by 6.5 at the Pepsi Center in Denver for that meeting. Denver came away with the 89-79 win and an ATS cover to boot. Things have changed now though as you can imagine. The Nuggets are really struggling and will look to avoid a fifth straight loss in a stretch of games that has all but ended any playoff hopes. The Pistons meanwhile have been a little bit better and look for a third straight home game. This is a good spot for the Pistons to get the win and the cover.
Here are my keys to the game:
Denver's struggles- The Nuggets have lost 11 of 12 going in this game and have played a lot of road games of late that quite likely has the team very fatigued. This is contest will be the final game of a stretch that has seen the Nuggets play six of seven on the road before having the weekend off before playing OKC on Monday. Denver is just 7-18 on the road this season.
Detroit revenge- As stated before, the Nuggets took the first meeting. These teams are lot different now and the Pistons are moving the right direction and will the best opportunity to succeed in this game.
X-Factor- D.J. Augustin has stepped up in the place of Brandon Jennings. He's averaging 20.2 points while shooting 48.2 percent and 44.4 from long range in six starts.
Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Pistons (8*)
